What is California Senate Bill 1157?

Starting July 1, 2021, California's SB 1157 requires affordable housing owners and operators with over 15 units to provide renters with the opportunity to report rental payments to credit bureaus. While not mandatory, offering this service can enhance tenant satisfaction and attract responsible renters.

Operators may choose to pass on the cost to renters who opt-in, making it a valuable addition to your property management services.
